Content & Moderation Policy

This policy explains how My Batumi reviews, moderates and manages user-generated content, business listings, reviews, questions, answers, offers and other public materials.

1. Our moderation goal

My Batumi is designed to be a useful and trustworthy city guide for tourists, residents and expats in Batumi. Moderation helps keep the app safe, relevant, respectful and free from spam, scams and misleading content.

2. Content that may be moderated

We may review and moderate:

  • Business listings and business profile updates.
  • Reviews, ratings, photos and replies.
  • Questions, answers and community posts.
  • Events, offers, promotions and promo codes.
  • Usernames, profile information and support messages where relevant.
  • Reports and complaints submitted by users or businesses.

3. Prohibited content

The following content is not allowed:

  • Illegal content or content promoting illegal activity.
  • Spam, mass advertising, fake reviews or manipulative ratings.
  • Scams, fraud, phishing, malware or suspicious links.
  • Hate speech, harassment, threats, bullying or abusive behavior.
  • Discriminatory content based on protected characteristics.
  • Sexually explicit, exploitative or unsafe content.
  • Graphic violence or content encouraging harm.
  • False, misleading or impersonating content.
  • Private personal data published without permission.
  • Content that violates intellectual property or privacy rights.
  • Content that creates safety risks for users, businesses or the public.

4. Business listing standards

Business listings should be accurate, lawful and useful. Business owners are responsible for providing correct names, categories, addresses, contact details, working hours, descriptions, prices, offers and photos.

My Batumi may reject, hide or edit listings that are misleading, duplicate, fake, low-quality, unsafe, irrelevant to Batumi, or not suitable for the app.

5. Reviews and ratings

Reviews should reflect genuine user experiences. Fake reviews, paid undisclosed reviews, competitor attacks, harassment, spam and irrelevant reviews may be removed or hidden.

Businesses may reply to reviews, but they may not threaten users, publish private data or manipulate ratings.

6. Reports and complaints

Users and businesses may report content that they believe violates our rules. We review reports and may take action depending on the nature, severity and context of the issue.

7. Possible moderation actions

Depending on the situation, we may:

  • Approve or reject submitted content.
  • Edit formatting, categories or obvious errors.
  • Hide, archive or remove content.
  • Mark content as pending review.
  • Limit, suspend or block accounts.

8. Appeals and corrections

If you believe content was moderated by mistake, you can contact us and request a review. Please include enough details to identify the content and explain why you believe the decision should be changed.

9. No guarantee of publication

Submitting content to My Batumi does not guarantee that it will be published or remain available. We may moderate content to protect users, comply with platform policies, follow applicable law and maintain service quality.
